Just found this thread but before I add my 2 cents, let me first identify my relationship with GKIS. I first met Gary Kimmons some 5 years ago when he owned a small private company called I-Net something or other. Through various trial and tribulations, he finally became a listed company on the bulletin board via a merger into an already existing shell.
At that time, my firm, along with a few others raised money via private placements for the firm. So, I am a series 7 licensed broker and have had a close relationship with the company. I have visited Atlanta and saw the initial training product demonstrated, have a copy of 'Around the Web in 80 Minutes" (demo copy) that I ran on my computer (it must be easy to use if I could do it) and I sponsored the shareholder and general public meeting in Wilkes-Barre Pa. that was alluded to in post #18. (I have read every post to familiarize myself with this thread's contributors). I am also a shareholder of long standing.
With that in mind, I will give you a few thoughts pertaining to the company. There is no doubt that GKIS has an interesting technology and a game plan that they would like to implement. Until the recent private placements, I always felt the company was vastly undercapitalized. In fact, management spent an excessive amount of time scouring the hills for for more dinero. Today, with the newlly implemented management team of Rod Canion and Co., plus the $5 million in funding, the company is poised to go forward.
Whether they will be successful is really undecided at this point. They have what I think is a wonderful product of the verge of being released to the marketplace. It is really a consumer oriented software package that is educational, easy to use and quite novel in its training technique.(it incorporates artificial intelligence and adapts to the ability demonstrated by the user in terms of the complexity of the session and the speed in which you can complete a session).
As far as the recent stock movement, most of the specualtion on this thread revolves around shorts etc. No doubt, there are disbielievers out there who are short and some of them may be the 'notorious' bulletin board market makers. I don't really know and don't really care.
The basis for my investment has always been GKIS potential to create a discontinuous innovation at best and an innovation at worst in the field of training, education and/or search capabilities based upon a proprietary artificial intelligence technology. If you feel I am borrowing from "The Gorilla Game," I am. I think if you try their new product when introduced, you will be favorably impressed and can come to your own conclusion about the ultimate potential.
I know the company is aggressively pursuing a strategy that they hope will make this a rewarding long term investment.
As far as the comments regarding the volatile nature of the trading in recent weeks, I can only assume that there have been more buyers than sellers. That's what usually makes them go up regardless of shorts or listing or anything else.
If you have any real specific questions, please feel free to post them here or e-mail me at work which is radwyer@aol.com.
Thanks and good luck to all. |
