"Online Stock Fraud is on the Rise" - February issue of Kiplinger's "Also on the rise are 'cybersmears,' in which scam artists make money by selling a stock short ... and distributing false information to depress its price."
"To report possible fraud, forward questionable messages or Web-site addresses (along with your home state) to the SEC at enforcement@sec.gov, the North American Securities Administrators Association at cyberfraud@nasaa.org, or your state securities department."
Auric, remember saying that you knew there was news about a Reg D coming out? Remember saying several times that there would be other negative news releases that you knew would be coming out? Or how about telling everyone about 3 days before the Barrons article on TCTV that it was coming? How about "my sources say Ivana is stepping down" - which was presented as if you had inside information? A few days later she said she would not step down, then left after certain mob activity, but returned in a day or two. The point is not whether your guesses were right or not, it's that you presented them as inside information and fact.
Anyway, you can explain these and many more to the SEC. Your own site on SI will probably be your biggest downfall. Too bad you can't erase it!
Probably the more people who contact the SEC the more likely they'll be to investigate. I don't know about you, but I've had enough of these guys and I'm fighting back!
Oh, yes, I did find that Barb made some similar statements. I'm quite disappointed with her - I thought she knew better.
