Mani, <They can not meet demand not due to unexpected customer response to the announced product, but due to being forced (by AMD's Athlon) to announce a product they were not ready to make in sufficient volume.> I'll have to agree. Still, I wonder why people are still waiting for their Pentium III orders to be filled, when Athlons are relatively abundant. Heck, AMD even felt it was necessary to drop prices like crazy, possibly to move the supply. I guess Gateway's move is a result of all this, but even then, the imbalance is curious to say the least.
