thanks for your response. it looks like WFR is in trouble. But another thread FERO looks extremely well poised in the 300mm ingot market.

i was doing this research for the S3 thread, because of their USC fab investment in Taiwan. With the UICC fire, and unknown damage to the equipment, they were talking of tripling production capcity at UMC/USC using 200mm tech. i wondered why not 300mm, and it looks like its still 2 yrs away from mass production, and 6 mo. from pilot production.

(unless you consider what they are doing now pilot, not research)
