In communication electronics very low current is used. All you would get would be a tingle. However, for those who have no electronics theory it does seem magical. You can thank people like Mr. Edison who was one of the pioneers of electrical conductivity through a light bulb.

Course you could always fly a kite in an electrical storm if you want the real jolt.
