Waitless -

welcome to the discussion. I could not agree with you more...and this line is what disturbs me.

"I have a growing list of names that, if I see them associated with a company, causes me to immediately rule out the company as an investment."

That is information I need to know BEFORE I buy. What if I am holding 2 million shares of said company, but no one will touch it because the CEO has so many skeletons in the closet(trust me, I know about this). The business plan can be stellar but still no one wants to dance. VERY FRUSTRATING.

On the other hand, past failures do not mean they are scam artists. Bad CEO's perhaps, but not necessarily scammers. We definitely need a thread that has a list of possible "Red Flags". This list would not have to be just people. It could also be addresses that are used over and over. Bogus products, etc. I would be willing to put a DD link to your thread(SI would be a good one, but it doesn't have to be...IHUB would be very good as well since you could delete posts) IF it was tastefully done. If a person, place, or thing is on the list then it needs to have a reason with it...especially if it's a CEO. I would do it, but it would definitely take time. The "Red flags" would need to be checked out and backed with facts. Otherwise, every person with a vendetta would be constantly growing the list. IMVHO, what we are really looking for are pattern offenders. I would love to see it done, but I really don't have the time or experience to do it right.
