GET SHORTY!

In my email "RICA 17, Status", Kirk told us how predatory shorters stopped a nice run in its tracks and drove it way down. It was only after M. H. Meyerson drew a line in the sand and started buying heavily for their accounts that the crash was halted. Now the market makers and traders can slowly cover themselves at wholesale to get ready for the next run. I don't think they want to get caught short. It's times like this when the predators and the good guys face off that remind me of fighting cocks ... or of Democrats and Republicans.

The trading in RICA is hardly unique. Small stocks on the rise like this do it in surges. There are quiet periods while the stock "bases" and the market makers acquire cheap stock in preparation for the next run. I don't know what it will take to start it off, maybe a trip to Costa Rica by The Five Analysts, maybe an earnings report, maybe a meeting in NYC for market people to tell them about RICA. What ever it is that will start the next run, when it starts, we all take a deep breath and yell, "GET SHORTY!" Meanwhile Shorty takes a deep breath and sings along with Bonnie Raitt, "Sometimes I ... MISS That Feelin' of Fallin' ..."

EARNINGS REPORT

The earnings report done on Pipasa before the takeover on August 5 was done for the first time to our commonly accepted standards of accounting. Auditors and accountants are going over Pipasa/CRI/RICA now in preparation for the end of year report. As stated in "RICA 17, Status", the end of the company's fiscal year is September 30, so I'd give them several weeks to do the final work and make the release in about mid October.

I have no idea what the numbers will be like but for the first time we'll be able to compare one year with another. As a clue to how they will look, Kirk plans to have another public relations/informational meeting, this time for the market rather than the analysts. He plans to have it before the end of October, obviously in conjunction with the end of year report. If it were not going to be good, I don't think the company would be making such an effort. In fact, Kirk's target for the stock after that is to be at least 6.
