Did you notice, in your diligence on Pharma 21, the members of the management team? Including...(emphasis added)...
Dr. James Goddard is Senior Scientific Consultant for Pharma 21. Dr. Goddard completed his MD at George Washington Medical School and obtained an MPH degree from the Harvard School of Public Health Administration. After a brief stint in private practice, Dr. Goddard began a long tenure in Public Health Service where he headed the PHS Accident Prevention Program in Washington, DC, between 1956-59. Dr. Goddard then held positions as Director of the FAA Medical Program and later as Head of the Communicable Disease Center in Atlanta. As Chief of the CDC, Dr. Goddard was instrumental in starting the measles eradication program, and other programs involving tuberculosis and venereal diseases as well as the Epidemic Intelligence Service. Dr. Goddard was appointed Commissioner of the FDA and held that post from 1966-68 where he is credited with modernizing that agency fiscally, administratively and scientifically. Dr. Goddard is the recipient of many honors including honorary doctorates from Emory University and the University of Michigan, and the Bronfman Prize of the American Public Health Association, the highest health award in this country.
