PAL, I agree that what you say may happen (re my earlier posts).
However, I have some reservations based upon the price action I have seen recently. In the strictest sense, my understanding of window dressing is that fund managers buy stocks at the END of the qtr that have performed well so that they look like they were in the right places. Obviously these people are not so ready to unload these stocks in the new qtr because they haven't had any profits from them. The fund managers who have invested in AOL have probably been selling off their holdings, given the 45-50% gain, before month end (to, as you say, lock in profits). So where does this leave AOL come April 1st ?. I'm not sure anymore. I was going to sell my position at month end, but am not so sure that this is the prudent thing. I would greatly appreciate anyones pearls of wisdom on this matter ... Glenn, Bob, Hawk et al.
