michael: It wasn't me who said that the cost of the DB/Ballard fuel cells have to come down from $5500 per kWh to about $15, it was the head of passenger cars of DB. I presume he knows what he is talking about. I am not making any big deal about the platinum; it is just one of many of the costs that will not go down no matter what the production volume. If you have a problem about the numbers, complain about (or to - I'm sure they'll be impressed by your expertise) DB, not me.

Please tell us more about the Methanex deal. It will "pick up the cost of putting methanol in gas stations." How will that work? How much will it cost per station? If I own a station, do I just call up Methanex and they will send me money? Will it be a free grant, or will it be a loan which I have to pay back? What will the economics be to the station owner? Why, in its latest news release, does DB say that availability of methanol will be a problem?
