Michael: Several Internet sites provide price and volume data through out the day. For block trade info, I review lombard.com. What you want to view is the rate of change in the volume and the magnitude of the sell and buy volume, especially the large block trades. The focus of the study is to determine the distribution of the stock bought and sold on an important day w/ news and determine levels of support for future trends. Good Luck & Good Trading EKS
