Garth,

thanks for writing the first reasonably level-headed response to Sid's arguments I've seen on this thread. Having said that, I do take issue on two counts:

SID's in'SID'dious and ill-con'SID'ered in'SID'nuations...

A pity you pollute your post with such juvenile name-calling.

"Yeah...so all you stupid, rich, Ballard shareholders will just have to get over it...didn't make it into Chemical Eng.....nah nah!....Barrons? WSJ? Financial Post? Aww, who reads those rags anyway?"

The uncalled-for tone aside, you miss the point: articles in trade rags are a very different beast from articles in the financial press, newspapers, etc. It's not an issue of quality, but of target audience. Ballard is an interesting story for the financial press *regardless* of their long-term potential, simply due to their valuation.

Sorry to rain on the parade, but I just can't get excited about Wired stories anymore, not since a few months back they managed to put Fibre Channel (which is *hot* at this point) into the "tired" category...

Good luck everyone,

- nic
