BRIGHAM CITY, Utah, Jan. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) has issued Thiokol Propulsion, a division of Cordant Technologies Inc., a contract modification to provide supporting infrastructure facilities at the liquid fuel disposition site near Krasnoyarsk, Russia. This effort complements the existing program under which a Thiokol team produced and installed a chemical plant at the site in 1997-98 to be used for safe and environmentally sound disposition of Russian missile fuel. In the disposition process, the fuel will be converted into commodity chemicals used widely in Europe for the production of plastics and synthetic rubber.
