To all:

In 6/3/96 edition of Investors Business Daily, Estimated annual earnings column for WIND shows .45/share, as compared with last years .52/share. (Estimated annual earnings is Wall st analysts consensus.)

Does anyone have any insight as to why analysists earnings estimates would be lower this year? Any cursory browsing through magazines like EEtimes can give you the feeling there's a large growing market for RTOSs; is it possible Wall st analysists (whoever they are) don't have a clue about this industry, and are making predictions based on technicals or fundamentals?

Since there is not really a point source for analyst info, I know it's vague to speak about 'Wall st analyst predictions'. However, if a company's earning outperform these 'predictions', the stock price is sure to jump.

Has anyone else heard any 'analysts' predictions, or have any insight into these numbers?
