Probably true. But, long ago, I had the world's greatest German Shepherd who went everywhere with me. We had some lake front property back then and as soon as he got out of the car at the lake he'd find a rock about tennis ball size and drop it at my feet. He'd go 3 or 4 feet under water to retrieve that rock and bring it back to me. When I would give up on the game, he'd pick out someone else from the group to "play with". I still miss that friend, and it's been over 35 years since putting him down.
