Flash is ~40+ times more expensive then HD per gig. In my opinion this probably will not get better ... as flash gets cheaper HD get denser.

There will always be "must have" applications which need more memory. We started with storing numbers, then text, then pictures, then audio, now video, next HiDef video and better audio, onto 3D video anyone? ... we now need to store it at home and on the go ... soon in all your cars ... your mp3 player will also be your camera, camcorder, entertainment center, phone and who knows what else ... so just when you think flash has enough storage you'd might just opt for a HD version anyway because of all the other "must have" things one needs.

I think hard drives will be around for a while.

Edit: this is all assuming that no new technology comes along ... then both might be pushed out the door ;->
