I'm really excited about the cheapie Intel LGA-1150 motherboard by Gigabyte that I found. I'll build at least one computer with it and use an i7-4790K on it.

I'm not quite sold on Skylake yet. My main concern is that Intel has thinned the silicon substrate and there are reports of some cooling fans breaking Skylake processors.

Intel is saying not our fault, but this durability issue with after-market coolers was never an issue before.
