I have a Prudential Securities report on PMCS dated March 31 that I obtained free through Multex Investor. Excerpts from that report: We believe that PMC-Sierra will meet or slightly exceed our March-quarter EPS estimate of $.16. Our research indicates that the compny's design win momentum continued throughout the quarter. ... We expect the company to maintain its industry leading gross margin of approximately 79% for the quarter. Jo Ellen, re PMCS volatility .. sounds like someone started a rumor and then traded on it.
