Today I reported an error in the movie "Ford vs Ferarri" to IMDB. The sound of the starter used to start the Ford GT40 at the test track where Ken Miles is killed is a modern, Japanese, Denso starter, not a 60's era Ford starter.

I get bugged by stuff like that since I'm a sound guy. The sound people goofed on that detail. It was probably just cheaper, since they already had that canned sound, and they figured nobody (but me) would notice.

Denso (formerly Nippondenso) starters have a very distinct sound when they initiate. It used to be that whenever you heard that sound, it was a Japanese car starting. Not anymore.
