I do not see any way how you can separate peak oil from politics, shortages, and who controls the oil resources by who is promoting peace or war. Peak oil is a byproduct of all of this. All of these numbers and data relating to peak oil is gathered by nations and the oil companies that produce oil. You will find that history will repeat itself when it comes to the control and consumption of natural resources. And this is bad news for the US.
