Steve, I'm sure I'm preaching to the choir here, but I just thought I'd add that the only thing propping up Dell is the direct model. You can think of the direct model as Dell's competitive advantage over firms hamstrung by channel inefficiencies. Dell's advantage is not sustainable. The direct model can be duplicated. Jonathan
