To all,

KE made the following comment regarding the plant in Penang:

"They were over here at the end of July, and by the end of August they were producing Jaz drives. By the beginning of September they where shipping product units out of there."

Anyone who has ever worked in an engineering/manufacturing environment can really appreciate what an unbelievable accomplishment this is! Very, very impressive to say the least.

I also like KE's use of "dream team" to describe the group of semi companies that they have put together to fulfill IC requirements. The fact that Intel, Motorola, Texas Instruments and Symbios Logic are commiting design teams to help develop and manufacture components for IOM is further proof of how seriously the industry is taking IOM's market dominance. No one wants to be left out. IOM has some type of relationship with many of the biggest names is the technology industry. Below are a few,

Intel
Motorola
Texas Instruments
Sybios Logic
Micron Electronics
Epson
Seagate
Sony
Fujitsu
Acer
Matsushita
Packard Bell
HP
etc.
etc.
etc.

This company has great products, great management, great marketing, and great vision. It's no wonder everyone in the industry wants to jump on board.
