Eric, Don't forget, Compaq decided they didn't want to support Win2000 on Alphas. Win2000 is now only available for x86 (and
eventually IA-64) processors.

Yes, I remember that now. Compaq is apparently still prioritizing their development efforts in the wake of their buyouts of Tandem and DEC. Some things have had to go.
