This isn't about computer hardware but is about computer usage, namely passwords, so fwiw.
Someone posted on a Ihub thread about using the same password for several sites or having to carry a master list of passwords and it being such a pia. with having to have 10-12 characters, a capitol letter, a symbol etc.
I use a password system which results in each site having a unique password that's easy to remember. You can use this guide to create your own. First - think of a name with four letters. Let's use lacy as an example. I like using a name with the SSSSS sound and I use the $ sign for that letter. You'll spell this as La$i in your passwords. That string contains the capitol letter and the symbol. Other examples are kacy, macy, jesi, bosy etc as Ka$i Je$i, Ma$i, Bo$i Second - think of three numbers. Lets use 363 as an example. Your passwords for every site will end in Lacy363 but spelled as La$i363. To make every web site have a unique password start the password with the first 3 letters of that website. ( examples below ) For those sites that require a new password every so often ( like some banks ) I simply add one number ( so 363 becomes 364 then 365 etc ) I use something similar to this. I use multiple sites, all have unique passwords, and never have to look up passwords on a master list. It's a simple system that's easy to remember and hard to crack. It contains 10 characters, has a capitol letter, has a symbol, has a number.
