the point is once the stock splitted. you have to take more shares in consideration.

say if a stock is trading at 60 bucks. after a 3-for-1 split it becomes 20 bucks. psychologically that creates a *cheap* image. that makes the stock harder to drop. say if it is 60 and it drops to 30. you get a feeling it may go to 10 or 20. but if it is 20 drop to 10, the stock looks cheap in single digits. a lot of un-informed buyers simply buy something cuz it *looks* cheap.

after that quick & gigantic run-up for IOMG, it was natural to see them split. cuz people are used to seeing IOMG under 20.
