On Wednesday, South Korea's SK Hynix (HXSCF) said it has completely sold out its chip supply for next year

I find this sort of hard to believe.

Lets says a device maker launches a product with SK NAND in December 2025. It's a hit. The device maker has already ordered all the SK NAND it wants for 2026.

If the device maker wants more SK NAND in 2026 because this device which launches in December 2025 is a smashing success, and the device maker wants to double it's order plan for this device in H2 2026.....it can't get any more NAND from SK? SK is "sold out"?

The device maker cannot increase it's sales plan mid-year in 2026.

Really?
