Mr. William Ambrose reports
ROCKY ATTAINS 2000 BBL/DAY PRODUCTION MILESTONE
Rocky Mountain Energy has had continued success in the Princess area. Production numbers have recently surpassed the 2,000-barrel-per-day milestone. The production increase has come from the completion and tie-in of three wells drilled prior to year-end and the current production from the new 12-29 well.
The 11-18-19-12W4 and 11-17-19-12W4 gas wells have both been completed and tied in. Each well is producing from two zones and follow up wells are planned for late spring. The 102/10-20-19-12W4 oil well has also been completed and is pumping to the 11-20 battery. All three wells are 100 per cent owned by Rocky.
Rocky has also drilled three of its four well winter program. The first, 12-29-19-12W4, a horizontal Sunburst well (100 per cent Rocky) was completed and flow tested at rates exceeding 1,000 barrels per day of oil. The well will be produced at a restricted rate of 400 barrels per day.
The second well at 12-20-19-12W4 was drilled and cased. This potential gas well (100 per cent Rocky) will be completed in the Bow Island and Basal Colorado formations later this week.
The third well, a new pool wildcat at 3-32-18-10W4, was drilled and cased this week. This well operated by Rocky at a 50-per-cent working interest will be completed in the Pekisko, Basal Colorado and the Bow Island near the latter part of this month. A fourth well (100 per cent Rocky) at 16-32-19-12W4, has recently been licensed to drill a horizontal well in the Sunburst formation. This well is expected to be drilled by the middle of March.
The partner in the Princess area has commenced a three-well drilling program (50 per cent Rocky) and comprises of one Arcs test and two Pekisko tests.
Rocky expects to drill an additional eight wells in the second and third quarters.
