jenna,

TRV - also rec by Value Line opt survey - all signs confirmed for next play. I would sell put on pullback too because I want to own the stock long term and for diversification.

Thank you for your in depth analysis on WIND - I know the fundies are good but we need to watch stock price behavior - MM is infamous of jerking this stock around - can you check the technicals and its price pattern of last earning season ? I have a feeling it would be dragged down in light volumes 1-2 weeks before earnings and that would be our entry point ... Need to find out report date too.

<<I would like to separate our options picks into ones for sectors coming into favor (technical and fundamental analysis), technical breakout of underlying (technical analysis), earnings surprise (fundamental analysis)... >>

An excellent idea : we need better organization and focus because each cat demands different strategy ...
Here are how I feel
for sectors coming into favor : take partial positions on each pullback for 2 months out position,
for technical breakout of underlying : small position short term - risk is high due to possible failure of follow-thru.
earnings surprise : start building position 2-3 weeks before earnings date, at the money or one strike out to save prem. If our analysis is good, stock will run and our opt will be in the money very quick. This kind can use a bit more leverage.

Semi equip, electronic components, oil related (TUBO is a pipe making company), insurance are those I can think of now. Semi equip/elec comp are too red hot to est positions, most vulnerable for anticlimax pullback I feel.
