Mojave: The people at SPTR are hard working and highly motivated employees,who have a large stake in SPTR's future since they are holding a number of stock options.It seems that every time they stand a chance to cash in SPTR's upper management shoots itself.They did it with the secondary offering when the stock was in the 20's.I guess what really turned me off was when I read about the demand for fiber slowing down and SPTR already committed to an expansion where they didn't even own technology.Before the decision to expand was made as good managers they should have done a lot of homework to insure that they would have a market for their product.Management 101.You do not rely on others when you are about to bet the store.That was when I went sour on SPTR management.For thr people that work at SPTR I hope I am wrong but from my vantage point I see SPTR with a lot of capacity in 1998 and nobody to sell to.The competition has added capacity too and there will be further price cuttin.BTW I am not or never have been an employee of SPTR although I have been in the Engineering side of the fiberoptics industry.
