Those will have been designed by Rich Kerr and not many others <we made some of the first qcom chips in our semiconductor fab, back in the mid 90s, glad to see them become so successful > He showed me the pdQ they made [about 1998] which was the precursor of the iPhone. It will always be a disappointment to me that they did not continue development and do what Apple has done. We had the opportunity right there in our hands. I held it and tried it. Big and clunky of course as a prototype way back then, but they sold it to Kyocera who improved it but not enough and in a limited Japanese market. zatz.com Thanks for your help, way back then!
