The best way to trade SPX is with ES and MES futures. Size the trade however you want and get 10X leverage.

Taxed at 60% long term cap gains and 40% regular income. Anything else it's all regular income.

Then there is that pesky wash trade rule, where you can't sell at a loss and buy back within a 30 day window and still claim the tax loss. So you can't trade that instrument all of DEC. to make sure you clear all the wash trades Futures have no wash rule.
