Even before China virus scare hit the headlines, energy sell off had already moved into oil. Crude today in hi 54s vs lo 63s on 1/6/20. And looking lower.

Even big integrated internationals are weakening. IMO? A very good sign. Why? Because strongest, safest stocks are the last to break in ANY sector LT primary downtrend. Remember making a bundle for my Merrill Lynch clients in 1981 tech sell off. Mgt. got so angry at me for shorting Merrill Lynch research dept. recommendations? Office manager told wire operator not to enter any more of my short sale orders!! Hey I was young and full of vinegar & piss in those days. Now? I'm too old to wear my younger man's clothes. All too content to sit in cash til the latest shit storm is over.

Anyway....Oil & Gas Service stocks also getting hi. As has been the pattern for years, mid & small caps tank first til even the best of those are down lower than perma bulls ever though possible. All that's left? The ones some folks think are 10 ft. tall and bullet proof...)) Maybe I'll pick up some COP after Mr Market shows me a confirmed price/volume/sentiment/COTs, etc. etc. bottom Yeah Baby!!
