<<I see no sign of them being vile or barbaric, quite the opposite. In any case its an irrelevant point. Their job is to enforce the constitution, doing so isn't vile, even if they happen to be vile on the side.>>

I wouldn't expect you to. You seem to care more about some subjective abstract ideology than simple compassion and justice. You don't seem to seek out compassion. That is how I judge people. Who worries about the poor and downtrodden. Who really cares?

And what too many people fail to understand about both the law and constitution, is that not only does it evolve, but it is existential at it's roots. Judges, both conservative and liberal, and at all levels, often interpret the law they way they want. There are enough gray areas in the law that judges can take great liberties.

E.g. the supreme court injecting itself in the 2000 election overriding the state supreme court and then saying their decision could not be used for case law. It was a one time event? So the law was only legal that one time?

There is no exact interpretation of the law. If there was we would not have so many 5/4 decisions. So if the law has so much fexibility, having a bent toward compassion and fairness is very important.

E.g. why didn't the constitution allow women to vote or prevent slavery or segregation, if it is so perfect?
