I also have a buy order in at 2 1/8. So far, no volume. I have several questions that maybe one of you can answer. What happens if the waste oil has been contaminated with used antifreeze and/or transmission fluid? How would this affect the operation and efficiency of the processor? Many of our gas stationsin the Washington, D.C. allow customers to "recycle" their used crankcase oil in onsite collection tanks. I have seen people dump other waste fluids from their cars into these tanks, however. I am also concerned about how the recycled heating oil and diesel fuel will be sold - does it have to be taxed, are there bookkeeping expenses, etc. I am a bit wary about this "can't-miss" proposition since, in my experience, there is no such thing. No one has ever gone bankrupt being a skeptic. Furthermore, if an oil comjpany first developed the process 80 years ago, what's to stop the overseas Exxons of the world from collecting and refining the used motor oil themselves in countries that require it? Why do they need GRNO?
As I stated in the beginning, I am a prosepctive buyer at these price levels. I am also an ardent proponent of recycling and renewable energy (I own Unique Tire, Photocomm, and KBFP, among others). Still, for the long term I'd like some assurance all my concerns regarding GRNO have been addressed and, hopefully, resolved. |
