Don't waste your breath trying to explain. A lot of people on this thread in the past few hours have demonstrated that they should not be in stocks. At least not something like CMGI. They will sleep better if they get a nice Ginnie Mae Bond Fund.

Other than that they need to perhaps spend less time on the inet and more time on building financial/market understanding by active learning. Take a course at their local community college at night, read books on the markets and investing, read the WSJ and so forth. Without having some kind of base or anchor from which to operate, they are just going to whipped around like rag dolls.
