Here's Morningstar's daily briefing on stocks we cover.

A Delaware judge cleared the way Tuesday for the merger of Hewlett-Packard (NYSE: HWP - news) and Compaq (NYSE: CPQ - news), but internal projections released during Walter Hewlett's lawsuit to stop the deal suggest that the two companies have not yet figured out how to meet the financial goals of the merger. This makes us nervous about HP shares, even at today's prices. We will take another look at the stock when HP reaffirms or revises its financial targets for the combined company, but will watch from the sidelines until then.
