Richard,
I appreciate your efforts to keep the thread going these days. It is somewhat frustrating to see the bioetchs starting to get hot, but PRLN still in the doldrums.
Several thoughts...
It may be indeed difficult to conduct trials if the drug is already on the market as a dietary supplement. For example, the cancer patients, hoping to be cured, may go out and take even more drug than that given in the trial, making the control of the dose regimen problematic. It can be done of course, but it will make control over the trials more difficult.
I am wondering about the Phase I results for PN355. As I recall, there were only 10 patients enrolled for a 30-day study that started way back in Jan, I think. Why haven't they disclosed the results? Remember, the purpose of Phase I is to test for safety and NOT for efficacy. The finding is either PN355 is safe or that it is not. OF course, we all expect that it is safe since it has been used for millenia, et etc... So why not disclose the data? Either PN355 is not safe (very unlikely), or something came up that they are not yet ready to reveal. Just a wild speculation, but sometimes even Phase I results give an indication of drug efficacy...
I believe that PRLN is very safe to buy at its current level. I wish I had the cash to buy up more at this time! Is anyone else increasing their position?
By the way, a friend of my Mom has cancer and is willing to get involved in experimental therapies. For example, she is just finishing in a study of Genentech's anti-Her2 anitbody (Phase III). Anyway, I told her about Paracelsian's AndroCar and she asked her doctor about it. Her doctor told her that he knew of it but that it was only a dietary, and not a therapeutic drug. It seems to me that her doctor is not completely informed about Paracelsian, and maybe I should call him about it. I was wondering what doctors out there are hearing about Paracelsian and the opinions they are forming.
