I think he desperately needs someone who has tough negotiating experience and KNOWS how to bargain, that he will LISTEN to.

Honestly I think he now has that guy in Daley. But after the early caves, the opposition doesn't take him seriously. They think he's an Uncle Tom, ready to give in to the plantation owners.

So when he gets tough.... We've got a mess. Everybody is underestimating the other side.
