I have never read the G-report and don't know much about the individual or his picks. Having read the debate on this thread I can only say that I hope his responses are not a twisting of words. I am fed up with politicians who conveniently play the word-game. I have no reason to doubt Mr. Gilder's statement that he personally had never acquired the stock or securities in question. In fact, I think it is honourable of him to have come out and made what I am sure he thinks is a clear and decisive statement on the matter. However, given the the public nature of the issue and the apparent lack of clarity, why not come out again and state unequivocably that he or any companies that he has an interest in has not owned the securities in question. I know that if I was in his shoes, I would do this quickly and then politely ask for either an apology or forgiveness.
