William: Takes guts to buy low and sell high.I think this stock got especially hamnmered because of the market uncertainty many internet hardware/software companies felt in the last few months. That market took a breather allowing many companies re-evaluate their designs and
directions. After all, the internet environment is now in a state of bandwidth flux: does it speed up with ADSL, cable modem/fiber optical, LMDS,ISDN, or what? No one knows...everyone wants more bandwidth but at what risk and cost? That collective breather translated into a lack of orders for design and emulation equipment. Whatever the decisions, the design processes will begin to ramp up again: ADTV and multimedia internet are hot, high complexity technologies that are now being contemplated as ASIC silicon, Microsoft is banking heavily on multimedia and complex communications technologies like Teledesic; TCI and Rogers are rewiring their national cable networks for bi-directional high speed internet; 500 Million PCS handsets are predicted for the world by 2002....at some point these and a multitude of other systems will need the advanced EDA design tools that QKTN makes. Yeh, this company is good for a long term ride..but it still takes guts to buy when everybody is dumping..
