So you are implying that it is not possible for a rich person to help the interests of a "poor" person.

By that logic,
the following must hold (as well as the reverse situations)

A black man cannot help the interests of a white man.
A Christian cannot help the interests of a Jew.
A Muslim cannot help the interests of a Christian.
A man cannot help the interests of a woman.

and so on...
