Softbank to offer classes on online trading

TOKYO, Dec 14 (Reuters) - Softbank Corp said on Tuesday that it would set up a joint venture to offer classes on online trading of stocks to individuals later this month.

The new firm, E*Finance School Corp, will be 50 percent owned by Softbank's wholly owned unit, Softbank Investment Corp, and the rest by an autoparts maker Sunbird Auto Electronics Co.

Softbank said in a statement that the new firm will use materials provided by its domestic online brokerage joint venture with E*Trade Group Inc (NasdaqNM:EGRP - news) of the United States in the classes.
