Certain businesses and and industries run by degenerate people have made it their business to own as much of our government as their purse requires. I am sure they actively attempt to own state and local governments as well as the Federal government.

In Washington D.C. Senator Henry "Scoop" Jackson, in office from 1953 to 1983, was known as "the Senator from Boeing" rather than the Senator from Washington for an abundance of reasons. Although Jackson was a Democrat he was in tight with the neoconservatives group constantly bleeding the taxpayer.

Eisenhower warned of the corrupting influence of these folks. He saw it first hand.

Weasels from firms like Boeing may claim "everybody does this", but Jackson wasn't known as the Senator from Weyerhaeuser or the Senator from Microsoft.
