HENNEPIN — Plans for a bigger ethanol plant than originally envisioned for Hennepin will mean more jobs and increased corn sales for local farmers.

Marquis Energy LLC. of Hennepin and global investment and advisory firm, Babcock & Brown, have entered into a memorandum of understanding to construct, manage and provide investment financing for a two-phase development of a 200-million gallon fuel-grade ethanol facility in Hennepin, according to a press release issued Thursday by Marquis Energy LLC. The companies anticipate the final documents will be signed in 45 days, the press release stated.
