I don't care what the PR says, Uncle B's refrigerated bagels taste like CARDBOARD! They were on special at Giant Foods (DC area's largest supermarket) when first introduced, and I almost gagged on them. The packaging was stupid too - hermetically sealed with no way to secure the plastic bag once opened! They tasted like too much sodium bicarb was used - alkaline tasting. Even if they have graduated to ziploc bags, the whole idea stinks. Lender's frozen bagels are outstanding, and the whole point of a bagel is "hot from the oven" or, failing that, at least frozen right after cooking. I just don't get it. Having said all this the stock will probably soar to new heights given my stock picking and timing prowess <gg>. Besides, Rob Schuermann is touting UNCB so it can't be all bad (good?)
