Did you ask Schwab for an explanation? You can e-mail them if you are trading on e-schwab.

I have had a few trading situations that I questioned Schwab on, and each time I asked them I received a satisfactory answer. For example, I wanted to short a stock yesterday and the market trade never went through. I called and the trading desk explained why, and it made sense.

I've noticed with e-schwab trading, you have so much more info at your fingertips that you spot things like this. If this was done through a normal broker or by telephone, these issues would never ever even be seen.

If you get stonewalled, complain to the SEC. After you have all the facts.

Good Luck.
