Rainmaker Digital Pictures Corp.: Appointment to Board of Directors
March 18, 1997 VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--Rainmaker Digital Pictures Corp. is
pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Peter Meredith to its
Board of Directors effective March 11, 1997. Mr. Meredith is
currently the Chief Financial Officer for a group of public and
private oil and gas and mineral exploration companies which raised
over $500 million in equity financing in 1996. Mr. Meredith,
previously a senior partner with Deloitte and Touche for 20 years
until his move to industry during 1996, brings a wide range of
financial experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate
financing and cross border transactions to the Board of Rainmaker.
Mr. Meredith will be replacing Mark Nussbaum, who resigned from
the Board earlier in the month, and he will assume the role of
Chairman of the Audit Committee.
Rainmaker Digital Pictures operates digital post production
facilities in Vancouver, B.C. and Burbank, California, providing a
range of image processing services to producers of feature films,
television and new media. Based in Vancouver B.C., the company
operates Gastown Film Labs (motion picture laboratory), Gastown
Post (digital post-production for television), Rainmaker Imaging
(computer animation and visual effects), and Rainmaker Interactive
(video compression and proprietary software development). Our
Burbank studio specializes in digital visual effects for the
