Covalent Group today announced today the signing of a contract to conduct a clinical program for a major overseas pharmaceutical firm estimated at $14 million.Phase 1 is valued at $2mm.Phases 2-3 which are multi year studies are precicated on the anticipated favorable outcopme of Phase 1.The program also contains an interactive voice technology component that confirms CVGR's ability to onot only assist clients in the clinical development of pharmaceutical products but also to accelerate the commercialization process by capturing outcomes research data using CVGR's Virtual Housecall System.The addition of the Phase 1 component of the studies increase the Company's backlog to $16mm.This is an another example of a very rapidly growing company in a very rapidly growing market clinical research outscourcing,and their Housecall system is going to revolutionize outcome studies for the drug,managed care,employer markets.
