There was a discussion about this company a while back both in the
software forum and the Misc-Canadian companies forum.

I think Metrowerks at its current price is risky. Much of the
current price seems to reflects continued high growth that the company
may not be able to sustain. By some reports, Metrowerks has already
captured upto 80% of the Mac development market. They are in the
process of moving into the Windows and MIPS market but these products
are not due to be out until this Summer/Fall. Check references on
Metrowerks home page, metrowerks.com for more info.

On the flip side, the company has superb technology and a strong
following. Apple and Symantec are both trying to respond with better
products and in some cases offer a strong product than Metrowerks.
The interesting side to this is the response of developers. Most
developers seem to be willing to stick with Metrowerks believing that
any lead by Apple or Symantec will be short-lived. This strong
loyalty is important for the company, especially in a psuedo-commodity
market like compilers.

On a personal note, I am a very happy user and shareholder.
I purchased the stock at a relatively low price and continue to hold
because I believe there is a great deal of long-term potential.
However, I also believe that the short-term story for the stock is
not good. I look for earnings growth slowing down for the first
half of the year and to pick up as its product offering come out
this summer.
