James, I purchased a few shares (i.e., less than 0.5% of my portfolio) in Atacama Minerals over a year ago (it was still called Boron then) purely as a speculation. There was a setback when one of their Chilean executives died unexpectedly last year. This tragedy resulted in a delay in the plans for opening the mine however, they have since hired a replacement.

I don't know anything about Kap resources. I think that any company that has a chance to go from no production to production has the change to generate big rewards - so in that sense Atacama Minerals has a lot of Potential. The real question is wether they can pull it off or not, and this requires good management in addition to a good deposit. I think that their management has lots of experience, so this helps a lot.

I have followed Atacama / Boron for some time, and will be happy to discuss this with anyone who is interested.

Regards,
John Sladek
